DtD Combat System

Dawn to Dusk’s combat system primarily uses the d20 and d6
The d20 will decide whether an action succeeds or fails. Attack rolls will be made against Defense rolls. Healing rolls will have to be higher than 10 to succeed.
The d6 will be used for damage or healing done.
Damage Shields will be counted as Healing actions.
Players and Monsters/Enemies will have a set amount of hitpoints.
Starting at level 1, Players will have 10 hit points.
Player hit points will increase with rank and levels.
Players will have starting stats, numbers added to their /dice d20 rolls, that will affect their performance. Starting stats will change depending on the player’s role. Stat points go in three areas, Defense, Attack, or Healing.
Roles will have bonuses to certain rolls, but all roles can still attempt any type of action, within reason.
Tanks will have an automatic +1 to Defense.
Damage dealers will have an automatic +1 to Attack.
Healers will have an automatic +1 to Healing.
Players will also have levels.
A player must attend two events to level up, to start. Levels 2-5 will require 2 events attended. Levels 6-10 will require 3 events attended.
For every level, the player will gain a +1 to their health pool.
For every level, the player will have a stat point to place where they like, with a max of 3 per attribute.
For example: A level 4 player has 3 stat points to place. If they desire, they can place it all in Attack for a +3 on their rolls. A level 5 player would have 4 stat points, but can not place them all in one stat. They would have to allocate the fourth point for a +1 in another stat.
At level 10, the player will receive an additional point to make one of their stats a +4.
Different roles will have a different skill that can be used once every three turns.Tanks can defend a nearby character and gain +1 to their defense roll, and take half damage if hit.Damage class players can attack twice in one turn, hitting for half damage on the second roll.Healers can heal twice in one turn, healing for half points on the second roll.If a character reaches 1 health, they’re knocked out.
At -1, they’re dead. May their souls know peace.
FC Ranks will affect stats and health. For the Dawn Vigil:
Iron: +0 to rolls.+0 to Health.
Bronze: +0 to rolls. +1 to Health.
Silver: +1 to rolls. +1 to Health.
Gold: +2 to rolls. +2 to Health.
